Side Tables

A client tasked me to restore their late father's wood shop, which had sat unused for many years.

Through the process, I found a collection of lumber, including a collection of walnut beams used to make pieces throughout the home.

I was then asked to make a set of bedside tables, mimicking the style of his work and using the materials which were left from his previous work.

A concept sketch was made while discussing the project, which led to the render before the wood was cut.

His style used strips of wood to build a larger structure. In my replication of this work, I used the walnut supply sparingly, here for the trim and a section of the legs, to preserve the stock as much as possible for future projects.
