Skylight Table

I built this table as an installation to cover an architectural flaw for a home that was constucted with a skylight protruding from the center of a balcony. The contractor had misread the construction diagram. I designed this table to turn an eyesore into a gathering place, making the construction error seem intentional. The customer was torn between wood and metal for the surface of the table, I built into the design the ability to remove the top to switch to another material or reseal the current wooden surface at maintenance intervals.
