17 Portrait

A self portrait at seventeen and a marker of where my interest in art and design really began.

This portrait was chosen to hang in Tucson’s City Hall. At the time, I thought the pride came from a celebration of the skill to make the piece. I realized later it came from creating the piece itself. The painting came down and went into storage, but that impression remained.
